OceanFly Terms & Conditions

Demo Ride & Try Before You Buy Framework

Effective Date: May 2026

Welcome to OceanFly
These Terms & Conditions govern all bookings, demo rides, onboarding sessions, guided experiences, purchases and interactions conducted with OceanFly.

By booking, participating in, or paying for any OceanFly experience, the participant acknowledges having read, understood and accepted these Terms & Conditions in full.

1. Company Positioning

OceanFly operates in Mauritius as an official premium partner and reseller of Fliteboard electric hydrofoil products.

OceanFly is not positioned as a traditional watersports rental operator or self-service equipment provider.

OceanFly operates within a premium “Try Before You Buy” framework focused on:

  • product discovery,
  • customer onboarding,
  • guided demonstration rides,
  • progression coaching,
  • premium equipment access,
  • and support for future eFoil owners.

The purpose of OceanFly sessions is to allow potential customers to safely experience and better understand premium eFoil products before a potential purchase, either in Mauritius or internationally through the Fliteboard network.

2. Nature of the Experience

All OceanFly sessions are supervised and instructor-assisted experiences.

Participants acknowledge that:

  • equipment remains under OceanFly supervision at all times,
  • sessions are educational and demonstration-oriented,
  • OceanFly reserves the right to interrupt, shorten or terminate any session for safety reasons.

OceanFly does not provide unsupervised equipment hire or free navigation services.

3. Eligibility Requirements

To participate, users must:

  • be at least 18 years old, or be accompanied by a legal guardian,
  • be physically fit for watersports activities,
  • be able to swim,
  • not be under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medication affecting judgment,
  • disclose any relevant medical condition before participation.

OceanFly reserves the right to refuse participation if safety conditions are not met.

4. Safety Obligations

Participants agree to:

  • strictly follow instructor guidance,
  • wear all required safety equipment,
  • respect navigation and safety zones,
  • operate equipment responsibly and cautiously,
  • immediately report any issue, impact or abnormal equipment behavior.

Failure to comply with safety instructions may result in immediate termination of the session without refund.

5. Try Before You Buy Policy

OceanFly offers selected demo ride experiences under its “Try Before You Buy” framework.

Subject to validation by OceanFly:

  • eligible demo ride fees may be deducted from the purchase price of a new board,
  • the deduction applies only to qualifying purchases,
  • the deduction is non-transferable,
  • only one eligible refundable demo session may apply per customer,
  • the validity period of the deduction may be limited.

OceanFly reserves the right to modify or discontinue this policy at any time.

6. Referral Dealer Attribution

As part of the Fliteboard and Fliteschool network ecosystem, participants who discover or test equipment through OceanFly may be requested to mention OceanFly as their referral dealer when purchasing equipment through the global Fliteboard network.

This referral attribution:

  • does not modify official public pricing,
  • has no financial impact for the purchaser,
  • does not create additional charges,
  • simply allows OceanFly and affiliated Fliteschools to be compensated within the official Fliteboard partner network.

By supporting OceanFly as a referral dealer, customers contribute to the development of local demo infrastructure, onboarding, coaching and premium eFoil experiences in Mauritius.

7. Booking, Cancellation & Rescheduling

All bookings are subject to availability, operational capacity and weather conditions.

OceanFly reserves the right to reschedule or cancel sessions due to:

  • unsafe sea conditions,
  • excessive wind,
  • storms,
  • technical issues,
  • safety concerns,
  • instructor availability,
  • or any operational reason deemed necessary.

Customer cancellation policy:

  • more than 48 hours before session: rescheduling possible,
  • less than 48 hours before session: fees may be retained,
  • no-show bookings are non-refundable.

Refunds are not guaranteed for weather-related interruptions once the session has started.

8. Ocean & Environmental Conditions

Participants understand that eFoiling is an ocean-based activity dependent on changing environmental conditions.

OceanFly cannot guarantee:

  • flat water conditions,
  • specific weather conditions,
  • uninterrupted riding time,
  • exact ride duration.

Safety decisions remain entirely at OceanFly’s discretion.

9. Equipment Usage & Responsibility

All equipment remains the property of OceanFly, its suppliers or affiliated partners.

Participants agree to:

  • use the equipment responsibly,
  • avoid reckless or dangerous behavior,
  • avoid intentional impacts or misuse,
  • respect all handling and transport instructions.

Participants may be held financially responsible in cases of:

  • intentional misuse,
  • negligence,
  • non-compliance with safety instructions,
  • avoidable damages caused by reckless behavior.

Normal operational wear and supervised beginner falls are naturally expected within reasonable usage.

10. Assumption of Risk

Participants acknowledge that eFoiling and watersports activities involve inherent risks including but not limited to:

  • falls,
  • collisions,
  • drowning,
  • contact with watercraft,
  • marine hazards,
  • contact with marine life,
  • weather-related risks,
  • equipment malfunction,
  • physical injury,
  • permanent disability,
  • or death.

Participation is voluntary and entirely at the participant’s own risk.

11. Liability Limitation

To the maximum extent permitted under Mauritian law, OceanFly, its instructors, affiliates, suppliers, representatives and partners shall not be held liable for:

  • personal injury,
  • loss of personal belongings,
  • property damage,
  • delays,
  • cancellations,
  • indirect damages,
  • consequential damages,
arising from participation in OceanFly activities or use of equipment.

Participants may additionally be required to sign:

  • a liability waiver,
  • a release of claims,

  • are physically capable of participating,

  • press and partner communications.

Participants authorize such use unless a written refusal is communicated before the session.

14. Intellectual Property

All OceanFly branding, visuals, content, media, designs, documents and website assets remain the intellectual property of SAS LAAN.

No reproduction, reuse or distribution is permitted without prior written authorization.

15. Governing Law
